Pain & Chuna · Pain Care

Recurring pain —
we don't look only at where it hurts

If there is an area that keeps bothering you, such as your neck, shoulders or lower back, we look at the situations in which the pain appears together with your daily patterns.

After sitting and working all day, do your neck and shoulders stiffen and your lower back keep bothering you — and do you just put up with it each time? NuA Korean Medicine Clinic, a pain clinic in Gangnam, looks at your current condition and then explains the direction of care you need.

Signs of pain · Five situations

Is this kind of pain coming back?

  1. Your neck and shoulders feel stiff when you sit for a long time
  2. It is uncomfortable when you turn your head or move
  3. It hurts when you bend your back or sit for a long time
  4. Pain keeps coming back after exercise or work
  5. Even after rest, discomfort often stays in the same area

What we check · Four things

We look at the situations in which pain recurs

We check when the pain started, the postures you use most, your work environment and whether you exercise. After an examination, we decide the direction of treatment you need.

Treatment process · How we choose

NuA Korean Medicine Clinic's pain care process

Relatively mild discomfort, such as simple muscle pain, and chronic pain that has recurred for a long time don't call for the same direction of care. At NuA, we look at when the symptoms began, how long they have lasted, how much movement is affected and your previous treatment experience, and then adjust the combination of treatments. If we judge that additional treatment is needed, we also explain why it is needed.
